Pets and such

Somebody dropped off a letter for me today! Thanks to whoever did that - been a long while since I bothered checkin' my mail. Turns out one of my old neighbors wrote me a couple weeks back to tell me my old cat's doin' all right with her now. Seems she's got the run of the place - I was worried she wouldn't get on with Bess, but looks like she's put on weight, if anything, so I guess I can rest easy on that.

Then of course she wanted to know how the new job was workin' out. Guess I start to see why so many people have difficulty thinkin' of what to say in these letters home. Well, she's used to not gettin' much detail, anyhow. Guess I'll manage something.

By the way, Demo, I'm sorry about runnin' off like that last night. Never was much good at recieving gifts, I guess. No hard feelings, huh? Stop by the shop later on whenever you'd like and we'll head over 'n check out that place you mentioned.
